This is a fully functional Eppendorf 5417R Refrigerated Centrifuge in excellent cosmetic and working conditions. The unit runs very quietly. It rapidly cools from room temperature to -9C and fast heats to 40C. It comes with standard rotor F-45-30-11 – a Fixed-angle, 45 degree rotor with 30 positions of 11 mm diameter each. 1.5ml and 2.0 ml tubes can be inserted directly. With adapters, 0.5 ml and 0.4 ml centrifuge tubes as well as 0.2 ml PCR tubes can be used. Eppendorf Micro Test Tubes can be centrifuged at 20,800 rcf (14,000 rpm). Using a special 24-position rotor, 25,000 rcf can be attained. For special applications, a swing-bucket rotor is available with 8 positions for centrifuging Eppendorf Micro Test Tubes at a maximum rotational speed of 10,500 rpm (11,700 rcf). PCR tubes can be centrifuged in a rotor which can accommodate six 8-tube strips. Speed setting and display in either rpm or rcf increments. Adjustable-speed "momentary" button for quick spins. "Soft Start/Stop" function protects delicate samples. Choice of five interchangeable, autoclavable rotors. Automatic rotor detection system senses the rotor and indicates maximum permissible speed. The 5417R Centrifuge incorporates reinforced steel rotor housing and double lid locks. The maintenance-free, brushless induction motor reaches maximum speed within 12 seconds for quick separation and recovery of samples. Please see photos and video for details.
